If the ac adapter is not working, then you can get the message “plugged in not charging” on your dell laptop. You need to make sure that your dell laptop is able to recognize your ac adapter.
- Restart dell laptop.
- When you get the dell logo on the screen press F2 a few times until you get entering the setup message on your screen.
- Now check the AC adapter type in the bios option.
- Adapter type none – check that adapter is connected to the laptop and the power outlet properly.
- If not recognized then you need to follow the troubleshooting methods below.
Reconnect AC Adapter and Dell Laptop Battery
